UNU has organized public seminars with Shibuya City Office since 2003. The seminars are intended to provide opportunities for lifelong learning to the residents of Shibuya as well as those who work and study in the ward. Since their inauguration, the seminars have been attended by more than a hundred people per session. This year’s seminars will be held on four Thursday evenings in July at United Nations University Headquarters.

Registration has reached maximum capacity and is now closed.
Note
- UNU Certificates of Completion will be awarded to the participants who attended all the four lectures.
- About half of the attendees are students and people in their 60s who have already retired.
- Each session is consisting of an introduction of the lecturer by a staff member from Shibuya Ward Office, 45 minutes lecture, and 35 minutes Q&A Session.
- Simultaneous English-Japanese interpretation will be provided for the 21 July lecture; the other lectures will be presented in Japanese only.
