The United Nations University offers a variety of academic programmes in line with its obligations under Article I, Clause 7 of the UNU Charter, which states that “the University shall assist scholars, especially young scholars, to participate in research in order to increase their capability to contribute to the extension, application and diffusion of knowledge”.

Master's Degree Programme

Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sustainability, Development, and Peace

The two year M.Sc. programme in Sustainability, Development, and Peace offers recent graduates and professionals the unique opportunity to study at a global university within the framework of the United Nations.

Doctoral Degree Programme

Ph.D. in Sustainability Science

The 3 year Ph. D. programme will provide specialisation under any one of the three sections of UNU-ISP (Global Change & Sustainability, Peace & Security, and International Cooperation & Development) with a strong focus on integrated approaches among the three sections.
